Talks
Short, sharp arguments from hosts and guests. Every side of the question gets one.
Live music
An original song, written for that night’s topic and played live.
Small group discussions
Tables of strangers working through real prompts together.
Big group discussions
The whole room in one conversation, with the microphone going wherever a hand goes up.
Haiku and drawing contest
Distil the entire night into seventeen syllables or one drawing. Judged by applause.
Original artwork
Artists make new work for the topic, and it hangs in the room on the night.
Games
Games built around the question, so the thinking arrives sideways.
Panelist discussions
People who genuinely disagree, in chairs, in front of everyone.
Community voices
Members take the microphone and say the thing the room was circling.
After-party
The part where the conversation carries on past the programme.
One of my favorite weekly events here in Hanoi.
